Gustavo Henrique
Senior Web Developer
& Tech Lead
I've been building for the web since 2011, and for the last decade I've been doing it while leading teams, managing projects, and keeping clients happy. If you need someone who can handle both the technical side and the chaos around it, let's talk.

Gustavo Henrique
15 years building. 10 years leading.
I started coding in 2011 and never really stopped. Over the years I moved from writing every line myself to building and leading teams that do it well, handling architecture decisions, client calls, sprint planning, and all the stuff that keeps a project from going sideways.
My technical home is WordPress, PHP, and Laravel, but I'm comfortable across the stack. More than the code itself, what I bring is context: I've shipped enough projects to know where things break and how to prevent it before it happens.
Services
I work on projects of all sizes, from a quick fix to a full product build. Here's what I focus on.
Frontend Development
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript done right. I care about performance, accessibility, and making things work exactly as designed, on every screen.
WordPress Specialist
Custom themes, plugins from scratch, migrations, speed fixes, and maintenance. I've been deep in WordPress since the early days and know where the bodies are buried.
PHP / Laravel
Backends, APIs, admin systems, integrations. If it runs on PHP, I've probably built something like it before.
Tech Leadership
Running a dev team: code reviews, architecture, one-on-ones, processes. I've led teams through messy codebases and tight deadlines and brought order to both.
Project Management
Scope, timeline, budget, client expectations, the parts that go wrong before a line of code is written. I manage all of it so the team can focus on building.
AI Integration
Adding AI capabilities to existing systems: chatbots, automation, LLM-powered features. Real integrations that solve real problems, not demos.
What makes this different
I've seen what goes wrong
15 years of shipping software means I've hit most of the common failure points. I anticipate the problems that usually show up in week three.
You'll always know what's happening
I hate projects where the client is kept in the dark. I give regular updates, flag blockers early, and write clearly, in English or Portuguese, depending on what works for you.
I'm in it for the long game
I'm not trying to finish your project and disappear. I'd rather build something we can both be proud of and work together again, whether that's next month or next year.
Technical depth meets business sense
I've managed budgets, negotiated contracts, and dealt with the financial side of running a tech team. That background shapes how I approach every decision.
